I have found this pickup while shopping for some diecast for the New Year. I almost finished picking some other cool Majorette cars when this Amarok attracted my attention. On the first look I have noticed that there was something unusual – The rear of the pickup was oddly high from the bottom of the blister, so I was thinking that it might not have the front suspension because I already have the same casting in some kind of the USA police livery and it lacked the front wheels suspension. My theory was demanted when I opened it up and found out that the front wheels have the suspension and that the problem is not there. It’s just… Actually I don’t know precisely where is the error. I contacted Majorette Australia via their Instagram profile @majoretteaustralia to ask if it was an error. They said me that for sure there is something with it and they did their best trying to figure out where the problem is. I sent them photos of model from different angles but they found no visible cause of an error. Base is connected well, everything is on its place. Pretty misterious…
However, error mustn’t always be a problem, I think this pickup looks awesome and that lifted rear makes it even better. Because it’s meant to be tractor service vehicle, and I don’t have a tractor in this scale, let’s just use our trusty Siku Terex compact excavator to play the tractor role and pretend to be broken down.
Here are some photo… Wow! Look how sun is making that light bar glow!
