review 1: A disaster movie in book form that is the literary nutritional equivalent of cotton candy. I ate it up, though got bogged down at times with too many characters. Still, a number of them rang true as did the scope and fearful power of giant waves reminiscent of the real-world tragedies of the 2004 Southeast Asia and 2011 Japanese tsunamis still in memory. One major difference is that Morrison’s waves are MUCH bigger. Could have used some plot tightening, but not bad escapist fare.
review 2: This was my first summer 2013 read as well as my first disaster novel ever. I read Morrison's The Ark summer 2012 and was enthralled by it. I did not get the same level of enjoyment from Rogue Wave though I did read the novel in 12 hours; it was fast paced and you did car
... moree about the main characters. The area I have issue with is the death toll. I felt that characters were just being killed to make the protagonist's life miserable(surprisingly Rachel's death didn't bother me). I am glad that Bilbo made it though:) A good summer read unless you are going to Hawaii! less

Not a literary masterpiece, but a definite page turner. Couldn't put it down.

Classic disaster movie style, in book form. Great characters that felt real.
