3\5 stars  non-spoilers review …

the writing in this is as mesmerising as i hoped it would be, the main characters are flawed and intriguing specially the Goblin king after about the first quarter of the book the story becomes more gripping and the world expands more specially the underworld.

it was so heart touching that was what i liked best about it beside the writing.

but i found the other characters plain and didn’t add much to the story or at least in this book, and some of decisions made by the MC didn’t make sense that much to me.

i enjoyed i found it light heart breaking mysterious read.

spoilers review….

the goblin king’s history although some of it revealed it’s still is a mystery to me and i want to know more about it, his relationship with liesl is so heartbreaking and one of my favourite there cute moments together and their heart-breaking moments too are what i lived for ( specially when he got angry with her she is just the best to deal with him then).

the intimate scenes i didn’t expect them at all but they weren’t that bothering.

the way the goblins treat the king and the story of the changelings it wasn’t what i was expecting but it was a very good aspect of the story .

that ending though it BROKE MY HEART when he told her he will let her go because he loved i almost cried with her, i just want them together forever.

Quotes:

once there was a little a girl who played her music for a little boy in the woods. she was small and dark, he was tall and fair, and the two of the made a fancy pair as they danced together, dancing to the music the little girl heard in her head “

” there is music in your soul. a wild untamed sort of music that speaks to me. it defies all the rules and laws you humans set upon it. it grows inside you, and i have a wish to set that music free “

” why’s the use of running, if we are on the wrong road? “

” if i were a smoldering ember, he was the poker stirring me into flames “

” “because ” he said ” loved the music within you””

” this was the immortality humans were meant to have: to be remembered by those who loved us long after our bodies had crumbled into dust “

honestly this book is full of beautiful words it’s hard to pick any …

tell me if you read it and what do you think…

xoxo..
