review 1: I was pleasantly surprised by how much I really enjoyed reading this book! I don't often read books in the romance or women's fiction genres, and this novel is the perfect mix of both. "The Promise of Change" is full of so many twists and turns that will make you want to read more. It was so hard for me to put it down once I really got into it. I'm excited to see what Heflin does with her next novel, "Rescuing Lacey."
review 2: I loved the story and I'm going to review it as truthfully as I can since the author is a new writer and like myself would prefer a truthful review. I thought the beginning of the story important in that it explained who Sarah was and where she was coming from but meeting the man seemed to take too long; explaining this information in sm
... moreall increments after she arrived in England and met her man would have given more interest to the beginning of the story. I've been taught by many authors of books I've read to start your story with a bang but I feel this story came short of that. The rest of the book was great except the love scenes that ended just when you thought something was going to happen and since it is a romance, I was disapponted. less
