review 1: Set in Australia which was a first for me. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the depth and detail of this story. The parts dealing with grief were really done - and actually the conclusion was rather satisfying in that it wasn't a happy ending but more realistically people dealing with and trying to get on with their lives. Definitely a better standard of YA lit - i.e. crediting its audience with a fair level of understanding. Definitely glad I saved this from the 'go-to-charity' in my lil library!
review 2: Beautiful Malice, a thriller in itself. This book surprised me, but in the best possible way. It had romance, drama, suspense, mystery; deifnitely ticked all the boxes. The characters are likeable (vut how I wish I didn't like Alice at the beginn
... moreing!) and realistic, and the book conveys real messages while being an enjoyable read filled with twists and turns that you really don't suspect.I highly recommend this book; it's hard to put down and has the right mix of past, present, future. Altogether a great nail-biting yet smile-worthy read. Can't wait to read more Rebecca James. less
