review 1: When my mother gave me this book I saw the word "god" in the title and thought "Oh no." She read my mind and told me right away that it's not a religious book - it's a life lesson book. Yes, there was some mention of prayer and "god," but that was not the main emphasis of the book. Everyone can relate to a lot of these 50 life lessons. When I was finished I immediately wanted to pass it along, but then thought "What if I need it again?" So there it will remain, on my un-bookshelf.Would make a great gift for a graduate, someone starting a new job, expectant parents, etc.
review 2: Gostei deste livro por ser um livro simples, sem grandes pretensões, apenas um relato daquilo que a escritora foi aprendendo ao longo das suas experiências de vida. Para mim, que n... moreão sou muito dada a religião, algumas partes são demasiado baseadas nas crenças da autora, o que não significa que, mesmo não sendo crente ou tão dedicada à religião, não possamos aprender alguma coisa com elas. É um livro muito descontraído e bastante fácil de ler.I liked this book because it's a simple book, without great pretentions, just telling us of what the author has learned from her life experiences. For me, somweone who's not that into religion, some parts are to much based on the author's beliefs, wich doesn't mean a non believer or not that into religion can't lern from them. It's a very relaxed book and easy reading. less
