review 1: I've been a huge fan of Regis since I started watching LIVE! back in elementary school, so I had high hopes for this book. I love that he reads the book. I'm not sure it would really work with another narrator. Unfortunately, however, I just didn't get drawn into the book. It may get better as it goes on, but it seems a little empty to me. At this time, I don't plan to finish it. [DNF] (3/20/2014)
review 2: This is a light and breezy book, but so much more than that. Mr. Philbin has led a very interesting life, and he shares it in a style that captures his own natural warmth and generosity. I have met him several times, and curling up with this book really does feel pretty close to having an actual conversation with him. In the telling of his many appealing, ... morehumorous, and touching stories, his personality and story-telling skills simply shine. I know he has written other books, and I will definitely seek them out. There is no one quite like Regis! less
