review 1: So Nakaba has a vision of this girl dying & the next day she meets her - Lemiria, Bellinus's younger sister - then under the guise of a honeymoon, Caesar, Nakaba, Loki, Bellinus, Lemaria go to stop the King - Caesar's father - from using the new Letina swords & destroying this Ajin village. Along the way, Lemiria takes Nakaba shopping for girly clothes & Nakaba gets Caesar a pair of earrings which is sweet :) They're so cute :) And when they stop at this villa the night before they head to the Ajin village - they're having dinner & all get knocked out by Bellinus - traitor! :O he locks them up & doesn't want to let them go to the Ajin village - the King told him to watch them & he can't disobey b/c of Lemiria :$ so he's trapped - then Lemiria ventures out into the woods & ... moregets lost - Bellinus allows Nakaba out from where he locked them up so she can go out to find her - Nakaba uses the arcana of time & tracks Lemiria down - luckily they're both okay - & Bellinus is forgiven - it's hard to choose between love & duty :$ & Nakaba sees their past & understands that Bellinus has always protected his little sister from harm - so Nakaba's ok too - so in the next volume, they'll get to the Ajin village & help out the people thereCAesar!! & NAKaba!!!! :)
review 2: So far Reimei no Arcana is an engaging tale set in a fantastic world. There are equal amounts of paranormal and historical elements, the plot is interesting enough to keep me reading, and the characters are relatable. An actual problem, though, is that the mangaka manages to create more or less multi-dimensional characters, making it hard to just cast the things they do or think aside as hate-crimes or plot-device-induced-idiocities. Going to copypaste that review to the tankobons I've read so far and try to write individual reviews from that point on. less
