review 1: I guess you have to be of a certain age to like the Bascombe series--of which this is the latest, outside the previous trilogy--but still an extension of them. And I am of that age. Ford captures the America and the American-ness of those of us between about 65 and 75 (I am 72) perfectly and with a chuckle out loud humor and wicked insight that doesn't permit putting these Post Super Storm Sandy stories down.
