review 1: Personally, I thought this book was alright. The only real problems I had with it were the breaking of the 4th wall and the "reader participation" that took place at the end, but that's totally a matter of personal preference. It's quite an interesting concept and the 1st half of the book I really enjoyed, I was just a bit disappointed with the ending. I thought maybe Milward was going in a different direction with it, but that's just my opinion. I would recommend this book, though, just because I think it's quite interesting.
review 2: You can't deny the premiss of this book is amazing. After reading about how Kimberly Clark attempts to redeem herself during the remainder of her life after she leads her boyfriend Stevie to a horrendous suicide in her 20's, you
... more as a reader get to decide her fate in the afterlife, when she finally meets the grim reaper. The book presents you with five options, and based on what you think, you go to the appropriate page and read a couple of chapters about her fate. (I sort of cheated and read all of them, out of interest) I love it when writers break the forth wall and acknowledge the reader, and I really enjoyed how this book can be a different experience for each person (unless, like me, you read them all), but there were parts of the story that unfortunately did not work for me. Some of the things that happened where just too far fetched for me to bear, although I have to say I really enjoyed reading about where the book was set (Seven Sisters and the likes) because I grew up there. less

The premise is great, the execution is absolutely terrible.
