review 1: Ok - I'm going to start this by telling everyone that I was a vampire freak BEFORE they became cool, so when Kari gave me these books, I knew I would read them first. I really like the series. They are a quick read, as it's young adult fiction (although I definitely wouldn't want my middle schooler reading them). I liked the way the main character, Rose, matured and became less impulsive. I loved that she was very strong and confident. The language wasn't so bad as I feared, but there a few "F" bombs. The romance was a little more adult than young, but it wasn't too graphic. I can't wait to read the 4th book.
review 2: I loved this entire series more than i have another. I decided to read the first book because i thought it looked interesting. I started reading... more and got trapped in the story line. I never wanted to put it down. I love how the story plays out and how Rose is such a smart ass but you cant help to like her. She is strong and independent and you know she would truly lay her life down for Lissa. The way her and Dimitri play off each other is amazing and i love their story. This was a wonderful series and i cant wait to start the next chapter with Bloodlines.....i'm sad to see Rose and Dimitri go after their love finally got to connect and truly be together with out hiding it but i'm hoping to see them in the new series. less

Actually going to have to reread these I loved them I read quite awhile ago and was waiting for the 4th one to come out on paperback(this was all before I had the nook so no more waiting until new in series comes out on paperback yippeee!!!) It's got a great love story and it has a different take on Vampires I loved it could not put it down but it has been at least a year or more since I read the last one so Im am looking forward to rereading them again!! That in itself should tell you its a great series!!!

The books were A good read!!! So many turns and twists. Romance, heartbreak, fighting, death and deception. The books had you crying with and for the characters, rooting and booing for them, laughing and shaking your head. But just when you thought one way, something jumped out and changed things. I can't wait for the final book December 7, 2010. I don't want to give away anything here about the books other then how great I found them to be.
