review 1: Aaahhh! Cliffhanger! Lawson was the sweetest. I definitely felt for him, he basically always got the short end of the life stick. Allie had a lot of good moments but she wasn't flawless. It helps to remember how young she is. The sometimes headstrong behavior didn't take away from the story, I don't even want to think about how many books I couldn't make it through because the girl was so intolerable. I am holding my breath for the next one, oh man that damn Ryker!
review 2: Interesting start to this series. Thinking it couldn't go more than two books, but don't have any information on it. Ryker is arrested and sentenced to five years on drug charges, leaving his younger and pregnant girlfriend reeling. Not only was she in the dark on his illegal activity, she ... moregets kicked out of her home at 18 bc she is pregnant and considering aborting. With nowhere else to go she seeks temporary residence with Ryker's slightly older brother, Heath. Heath immediately finds himself drawn to his brothers pregnant girlfriend and convinces her to keep the baby and let him help her with a place to stay and financial support while she starts college. But Ryker's problems didn't end when he was arrested, his boss is looking for payment of something and he is happy to get it from Heath and Allison since Ryker can't from prison. Heath is struggling with falling for his brothers girlfriend. Allison is trying to not feel like she is betraying her first live for falling for his brother. The book was well paced and there was great angst and tension between Heath and Allison. Even though things progressed rapidly, it didn't feel forced or insta love. I can't wait for the ext book, but imam guessing it is going to be a while since it isn't even listed on GR yet. I would have waited until both are out before starting if I had known, so I would recommend waiting if you want to read this book. less
