review 1: Not bad. Not bad at all. For a book that purports to be 'one of those books' that relatives give you because they were short on time for Christmas, and walked past WHSmiths at Waterloo station, it has moments of guffaw. If you are a true born Englishman (the British is a misnomer: welsh, Irish and Scottish folk will be disinheriting the suppositions of this book), then you will have moments of recognition, laugh out loud, and cause irritation to your wife who is nose deep in a complex historical romance on her kindle.Only three stars because of poor editing and a few bits of repetition. ... moreave suffered from these very British problems :) If you are British yourself, read this book, it will show you things of your culture you've probably never noticed. If you are not British but are very awkward among other people or even when you are alone, read this book because it will make your awkwardness seem less...well...awkward. less
