review 1: I really enjoyed this book and found it to be very memorable. It isn't what I would normally pick up, not by a long shot, but after hearing Robin Becker read a couple of the sections, I was hooked. This book took me a couple of hours one afternoon to read and I am glad I did. It was high entertaining. While it was intense at times, the wonderful use of her sarcastic humor can't be overlooked. Definitely a good read!
review 2: This book is funny and it is an original and well-written escapade in the zombie genre. I wavered between 2 and 3 stars and stuck with two because it's primarily funny if you find arrogant academics and cultural theory to be topics of amusement. If you're outside of that niche audience, it may not be quite as funny and a different kind o... moref presumptuous arse as a protagonist may have made this a more universally humorous book. less
