review 1: I really enjoyed this book and found it to be very memorable. It isn't what I would normally pick up, not by a long shot, but after hearing Robin Becker read a couple of the sections, I was hooked. This book took me a couple of hours one afternoon to read and I am glad I did. It was high entertaining. While it was intense at times, the wonderful use of her sarcastic humor can't be overlooked. Definitely a good read!

I wavered between 2 and 3 stars and stuck with two because it's primarily funny if you find arrogant academics and cultural theory to be topics of amusement.
