review 1: I watched the documentary that goes along with this book a couple years ago and was appalled. I shared it with friends, my boyfriend, family, everyone. The story shocked me. I didn't even know it was also a book and when I found out it was I was thrilled -- More deets about this crazy lady? Yes please! But... There really wasn't. I felt it worked better as a 100 minute documentary than a 300 page book. No one really knows why Tania Head did what she did, and we'll probably never know. So this book doesn't really tell us anything we don't already know. Did she lie? Yes. Why? ... Not really sure.
review 2: Tania Head’s account of her experience on September 11, 2001—from crawling through the carnage and chaos to escaping the seventy-eighth-floor sky lobby of
... morethe burning south tower to losing her fiancé in the collapsed north tower transformed her into one of the victims and heroes of that tragic day. Tania took on the responsibility of giving a voice and a direction to the burgeoning World Trade Center Survivors’ Network, helping save the “Survivor Stairway” and leading tours at Ground Zero. But was she a fraud? less
