review 1: This book I thought was a pretty good book. It is a good life lesson for people who want to hold grudges against people. Yes what Alison did to Catherine was very wrong getting pregnant by her best friends boyfriend. Especially because Catherine was pregnant, and she is the one who suffered and had an abortion. I can see why Alison didn't want to go back to her hometown of Farmington. I think I would have a hard time going back to my hometown also if I did something as disgraceful as what Alison did. I would have a hard time facing the person that I betrayed.
review 2: It took half the book for me to get into it. It was slow and full of looong speeches. Just as I was getting into it, the author had YET another speech, this time about divorce. While the sentimen
... moret was well thought out, what took me out of the story was that the character was saying it to a 5-year-old! There is no way and adult would speak to a child that way. And this was just one of many examples of dialogue that did not fit the story. Overall, disappointed with this book. less
