review 1: I wavered between 2 and 3 stars with this one. It explores a woman's journey and empowerment towards claiming her own life after abandonment and abuse. While I find this an important issue to explore and be informed about I struggled with the somewhat loose and fluffy method the author used to address such a serious issue. I did enjoy the characters in this book and thought the author could have offered a more in-depth insight into them to help make them even more real.
review 2: Ugg, I couldn't take the book. Although I haven't seen it described as so, WAY too chicklitish for me! Way too much drama with the cutsey, overly swearing lingo. Just way too much. I can get through most chicklit, but this one went overboard. If it wasn't for reviewing it, I woul... mored have stopped reading it. So disappointed. I almost feel that the book's description was misleading as it comes off as being more of a women's lit book. less
