review 1: EXCELLENT writing. Good story and developed characters. Keeps you guessing. I was impressed by this writer! This was the first that I had read of her works. A Young teacher who made a terrible mistake in the choice of her husband. His true ugliness comes out too late and causes her to be afraid of him and what he might do to her or relatives. She divorces and moves away but he pursues her...read the rest and see how vicious some people can be to a divorced mate!
review 2: This is just one book in the 'Big Sky Secrets' series. "End Game," also by Roxanne Rustand in this same series was filled with the perfect mix of romantic intrigue, suspicion & suspense - this book was no exception. Main character Carrie moves to the supposedly peaceful & scenic area of
... more Granite Falls after a painful divorce from her husband. She rents an apartment in the hiking/rafting area, it is a beautiful area with sky and trees as far as the eye can see. However, this beautiful area is plagued by tales of violence & murder. The twist? Her landlord (Logan Bradley) is supposedly linked to a violent murder that occurred the year before. Carrie takes a job as a Summer school teacher, but starts a domino of trouble when she raises questions regarding a troubled students graphic drawings. As a result of her well meaning concern, Carrie puts herself, her student, & Logan in the path of danger. I related well to Carrie, because, like her, I too would be concerned about a student with such violent drawings & start asking questions. Although the ending came as no surprise, I loved this book. I look forward to reading more of Ms. Rustand's books. Geat job Roxanne. less
