review 1: A veritable five hundred pages of astounding and profound investigative journalism. 'Family of Secrets' contains an avalanche of facts, with astute and incisive probes into the miasmic political dynasty of the house of Bush.At the recent JFL Lancer conference in Dallas, that covered days of very many interesting speakers, Russ Baker's presentation that featured just some of his findings in this book, stood out as one of the highlights.Any publication with a sub-title that purports to reveal revelations of America's invisible government, and the hidden history of the last fifty years, may sound too far out to some. Perhaps bordering on the 'X files' or the 'new world order' genre. However, I strongly recommend Baker's work. There are startling disclosures within that to... moreuch upon the Kennedy assassination as well as others that may cause the reader to re-think Watergate. Certainly the bulk of the text reveals a very disturbing view of the hidden tentacles of the intelligence apparatus and the cynical political careers of Herbert Walker Bush and George W. Bush. After reading this book it is easy to realise how fragile and tenuous are the holds on democracy.
review 2: If the world were to read Russ Baker's work on the Bush family, not a single member of that family could ever hope to be elected to any office. From Prescott Bush's complicity with the Nazis to George H.W. Bush's involvement with the intrigues leading up to the Bay of Pigs and the JFK assassination, Baker withholds nothing in the way of details. He outright accuses George H.W. Bush of involvement in the assassination of JFK, and makes a case out of circumstantial evidence that is compelling, such as Bush's presence in Dallas and his briefing by FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover. With Jeb Bush on the horizon in 2016, and George P. waiting in the wings thereafter, this book will be a relevant source to revisit as the country faces the prospect of another Bush as president. less

This is a frightening book to read. I'd rather think it is not true.
