Marriage By Scandal (Regencies)
review 1: I have read a many of Ruth Ann Nordin’s stories and have enjoyed most. I always like, that in her works when sexual situations are described, it is between married people. So many authors shy away from that aspect of marriage or place it before marriage with little or no consequences. This book like so many of her works has some truly laugh out loud moments. Unfortunately a few funny moments were all I can say about this story. As much as I typically love this author’s works this one fell a little flat for me. I think I was more interested in what was happening with Agatha and Christopher than the main characters.
review 2: I read some bad reviews about this book, but I beg to differ. It's nothing extraordinary but it's kind of a funny story presenting th
... moree hero as a weakling who faints, gets startled easily, sweats profusely at any threat, and is so afraid of his father-in-law it's ridiculous. Of course, he will end up holding his ground and being less squeamish and a perfect gentleman but you have to read the book to enjoy the way it develops. I found it entertaining and though his mother is a massive pain in his "posterior", is one of the funniest characthers of the book.Again, nothing out of the ordinary but not as bad as some people found it to be. I've read worst! less
