review 1: The boys and I loved this "epistolary" novel. Full of funny E-mails and plans and kids scheming to save a forest. But not too sassy kids, not completely out of this world unprobable adventures. A terrific break from the sci-fi fantasy genre rut the boys are stuck in. A good lesson in truthfulness and integrity. Worked perfectly with our trip to the Giant Redwoods. Cute characters and a good read- aloud at night for 10 years olds!
review 2: I thought that this book was really good and very interesting...I am very happy that my librarian was able to do a booktalk on it. I was sad in the middle but it picked back up to the happy part very quickly after.... the ending was certainly the best part of the whole book. when first picking up the book and reading the fron... moret flap I thought that it was very intriguing and that it was right that with a little determination and standing up for what you believe in really can make a difference in the world. less
