review 1: I'm a big fan of Sally's writing so was looking forward to reading this. It was tricky getting physically into the book as there seemed to be a formatting kink which hopefully has now been sorted but Kindle didn't update the version I had which I think is Amazon's issue rather than Sallys. I enjoyed the story and would have given it 5 stars but the ending feel very abrupt. We never got the shell presentation or ending that seemed to be foreshadowed which was a shame.
review 2: This story was sweet and sexy. Just what I have learned Sally Clements provides in the books I have read from her so far. Melo is the dependent sister and the person everyone depends on to fix things. She moves away to make her own life and not sit in the shadows because she is a woman. H
... moreer father never truly believed that a woman could do as well as a man, but at the same time, he comes to Melo to save him from his mistakes. Cade is the man who made it for himself after having to go through so much as a child. He grows up and takes care of everyone who is dear to him and feels that it is his duty. But this also leaves him alone. Melo and Cade meet up in their hometown for the wedding of Melo's sister and Cade's best friend. Neither of them are ready for the sparks that fly between the two. Things seem to be ok until the secrets and manipulation from Melo's father causes everyone to rethink their feelings. This story was fun and heartfelt at the same time. Melo has gone through a lot of things just to protect her family and make people happy. She even is willing to sacrifice her own happiness at one point. Luckily her happiness is the goal of Cade and things are made better by their relationship. less

Cute, fluffy romance. Not much depth to the characters - kept it short & sweet for the most part.
