review 1: 2.5 starsI was not sure about the premise of this book, however I read a few excerpts and really liked what I read. Unfortunately, although I couldn't put this book down (there were certain things the author had be invested in that I wanted to know how they ended), I didn't overly enjoy it. There were times when the sex scenes were far too clinical, then they were full of euphemisms. There were also times when the dialogue was really stilted. I felt a bit like Mark and Tony were interchangeable at times, and Hailey did not seem to have anything going for her by way of personality. There seemed to be some unintentional slut shaming, and it was frustrating that every woman and man they came across wanted to be her, or be with Tony and Mark. I'm not interested in reading anym... moreore books in this series however I would be interested to know what happens with Tony, Mark and Hailey in the future.
review 2: I agree with the review made by Alicia (is beyond tired of your *ish). However I give it one more star because I didn't dislike the book. My main problem was with Hailey. Her character felt to me like someone ten years younger than she supposedly was. She kept blaming herself for all of the problems that came up due to her nasty ex. I just wanted to slap her upside the melon and tell her to shut up with the drama. I liked the story itself. I liked the descriptions of the time spent in Hawaii. less
