review 1: Hockey! Boys! Sex! Domination! Yes! Yes! Yes!Everything about this little gem was great for me. I might have wished for a few other things (much longer, more ice time, more domination examples) but this one had me happily zipping along enjoying the scenery and feeling squirmy. I read so much smut if something makes me squirmy it's pretty damn good (IMHO) because I'm sort of desensitized to it. I might think it's hot - but it won't "do it" for me. This one does and is great fun besides. It helps that I LOVE hockey and am very familiar with hockey players (coming from a family of them) so the home town flavor was much welcomed here. I really liked how Alexei was so comfortable in his own skin. He stood out to me as a character who was believable. Way more than he seemed - an... mored for some reason that just connected me right to him and I just bought him hook, line, and sinker. He can bite my ass anytime! Alas he wouldn't want to as my front side is lacking key equipment. Mike was o.k but obviously young and pretty naive. Liked his sister a lot - and the situation where the family sacrifices for the child to become a pro is def. one that occurs so again more realism. In this one you really FEEL. Great book!
review 2: H.O.T. This book is hawt! Mike is a 22 year old, newly living on his own and playing professional hockey. He meets Alexi after being beat up after a “night on the town” and Alexi becomes his protector and mentor.Mike has the hots for Alexi but could never imagine that Alexi might also be gay. Well… he is and he’s been jonesing for Mike big time. When the two finally get together they burn the sheets! Mike is the big V but that doesn’t slow him down. Alexi kind of likes things rough, but so does Mike so there’s no problem there. There is a minor hiccup when Alexi feels Mike needs to go out and sow his wild oats before settling down and the fact that Mike hasn’t come out to his rigid parents… but those don’t last long.Overall this was a fast paced read, the first half all about the sexual tension and the second all about exploring the reality. There was a fair amount of tenderness and sweetness, enough to keep me satisfied, and a very happy ever after.I highly recommend this book and give it a 4.5 hearts of 5. less

Really enjoyed this book but found that the ending should have had a couple more pages to it.

Adorable! Light on angst, some humor, and a satisfying end.
