review 1: A great story about two girls who were once friends then turn into bitter enemies. Both make mistakes, so no one person can be blamed for the situation they were in. I liked that the story had typical YA elements - popular rich girl, not-so popular poor girl, boy best friend, parental struggles, etc. - but that the friendship and rivalry between the two main characters was the focus. That said, there was just a little something lacking. I don't know what. I just expected to like the story better (a 4-star rating) than I actually did.
review 2: I really loved this book! and I was not expecting to. I thought I would just like it because this was not the kind of book I would normally read but something about it drew me to it. It is a story about about friendsh
... moreip and the strain a friendship can suffer. This was truly beautiful and honest. I felt as if the girls were completely real! I felt as if I knew them. I could relate to the story. I remember feeling as they did. There were moments when I was angry and embarrassed and I would be on Kathryn's side but then I would find myself relating to Brooke as well. Read this book! Such a lovely story. less
