review 1: This short M/M romance (a short story in length) irritated me from paragraph one:- characters are all unlikeable and stiff, which tends to be a problem in a romance;- dialogues are stilted;- writing is grammatically in order but stylistically clunky;- the author tells too much and shows too little, clumsy introspections taking the place of meaningful dialogues.It was a freebie but I think it is not worth the time it takes to read it.
review 2: This is the kind of story I can really sink my teeth into. I don't know why, but emotional reads seem to put me in my happy place. A total oxy-moronic statement, huh? I know I sound confused, but I'm really not. lol I love books that make me feel, and boy did this one....hence the 5 stars. I was in tears nearly the ... morewhole book. Sammy is just so sweet and hopeful and so hopelessly in love with Devin that it kinda tied me in knots, in a good way. If you like an emotional read, this is it. Thoroughly enjoyed it. less
