review 1: This was given to me as a light quick read and I can say I really enjoyed it! The holidays are always a crazy busy time so I tend to stick to shorter, standalones and lighter plots because my time is limited. This story was lighter and predictable but I loved the characters and enjoyed how they all interacted with one another. I would recommend to anyone who needs a break with a nice light book. **Please note- while the plot moved quickly and it was a shorter read, the subject matter was anything but light.**
review 2: "He was Morphine, and I was an instant addict." I wholeheartedly agree. Noah is a force to be reckoned with. This was a very unique story, about self growth and love. Admittedly, I was a little concerned that there was a bit of co-dependency here
... more, but I think it was minute enough not to change the overall direction of the story. Georgie's suicide was a terrible tragedy, but Noah plays the ultimate knight in shining armor. It is a happy and sad story. Sometimes life's circumstances seem to be carefully synchronized, so that a person suffers to the fullest. In this story Georgie is that victim, and life is relentless. The loss of her brother couldn't have come at a more damaging time. Leaving her with scars and regrets that she may never overcome. Yet once she returns to town the story takes a lighter and brighter turn in the budding romance between Georgie and Noah. This story was a mixture of emotions, and it was a very enjoyable read. less
