review 1: Angels in The Snow comprises 2 Warm , touching, feel- good stories set over the Christmas period about two twin brothers and their journey towards love and marriage. Snowbound: Miracle Marriage 3 starsThe first Story is Daniel Buchanan's story. Two years ago, at Christmas Eve, commitment-phobic Daniel broke up with his fiancé Stella . Now she's back in Lake District, and Daniel realises that his feelings for her have never disappeared. Can he overcome his fear of commitment or will he risk to lose Stella again? Christmas Eve: Doorstep Delivery 4.5 starsThe second Story is Patrick's story. Patrick is a struggling single father who doesn't have particularly fond memories of the holiday season, especially since his ex-wife walked out on him and his kids on Christm... moreas Eve two years earlier. This year Alfie, his ten-year-old son, decides that his dad needs a woman in his life- so taking matters into his own hands. He advertises for a housekeeper. Surprise, surprise, she is the same woman Patrick had an unforgettable night with, while he was on a trip to Chicago. Bubbly, impulsive Hayley is a delightful heroine. And Alfie is just too cute for words.Extra bonus : It is fun to see Sally and Tom Hunter make an appearance while Sally is in labor and Tom is having a meltdown.
review 2: A wonderful festive read in two parts, the novel covers the story of twins Daniel and Patrick and their love life over the Christmas Period.Daniel is a consultant in A&E and two years previous proposed to Stella a nurse working in the department. She accepted and within hours he had called the engagement off. Stella moves away to get over him but a few years later decides to return home. How can they work together when the attraction is still obviously there?Patrick is a consultant Obstetrician in the same hospital and his wife walked out on him and the their two kids the same year that Daniel broke off his engagement to Stella. His life revolves around his kids and work. Going for a job interview in Chicago he meets midwife Hayley and has a one night stand with her but returning home he realises a long distance relationship is never going to work. Imagine his surprise when he opens the door to see her standing there having applied for a housekeepers post that he had never advertised for. Warm , touching story set over the Christmas period, easy style of writing to read, Patrick's children made the story, ten year old Alfie is wiser than his years and he ties the two stories nicely together. Even though this is a Mills & Boons book something I normally wouldn't touch with a barge pole I loved it! less

Not a bad bit of chick-lit at all. Much better than I was expecting.
