review 1: I enjoyed this book by Ms. Morgan, despite the unevenness of the second half. There were a few awkward jumps when I wondered if parts of the book had been skipped. I think perhaps this particular story would have been better served in a longer format. That said, I enjoyed the heroine Selene. She was naive, but she owned her actions and only regretted them when they came to affect her mother. Very solid category romance by Ms. Morgan!
review 2: I really enjoyed this book. Selene wants to get her mother and herself away from an abusive father. Her plan is to sneak out of there home while her father is away and go to his biggest rival Stefan to ask him for a loan to help her start a business. Stefan is the only man she knows that's not afraid of her father. Sh
... moree gets away and is at his office dressed as a nun. At first he doesn't recognize her then she removes the habit and he begins to remember. From there things start to happen between them. Both never saying what's the real deal. Stefan doesn't find out until it's to late that she as being abused and she doesn't find out until later the real reason Stefan hates her father. But for Stefan and Selene love conquers all. less
