review 1: 12 hr sebelum Natal, Evie gagal married krn tunangannya selingkuh, homeless krn hrs keluar dr rumah (atau apartemen?) yg ditempati bersama tunangannya dan hampir jobless krn bos-nya yg rese.Ttp ada tawaran dr manager hotel (Carlos) tempat dia bekerja utk boleh tinggal semalam di penthouse setelah Evie selesai membersihkannya krn Rio (the owner of hotel) baru datang keesokkan harinya. Ternyata hal itu adalah jebakan Carlos utk Rio krn menolak menikahi adiknya sehingga Carlos bisa dpt foto Evie sedang tidur bersama Rio. Foto tsb akan menghancurkan kesempatan Rio yg sedang berebut hak asuh atas anak hasil hubungannya dgn adik Carlos.Takut membuat malu kakeknya akibat foto itu kalo tersebar, Evie menerima kesepakatan dgn Rio utk menjadi fake fiance spy menjadi alasan bahwa fo... moreto itu adalah hal yg wajar jika mereka akan segera menikah.Yg Evie tdk tahu, foto itu sebenernya sdh dpt diambil oleh para pengawal Rio bbrp detik setelah kejadian. Jadi Rio memanfaatkan Evie utk membuat image yg bagus demi mendapatkan hal asuh anak. Setelah Evie tahu, tdnya aksn lgsung meninggalkan Rio tp berhubung ada ada nasib anak yg masih blm jelas, jd Evie menunggu sampai case itu selesai. Selama Evie jd fake finance tsb sdh pasti falling in love aplg Evie udah menyerahkan keperawanannya ke Rio tp Rio-nya bener2 dingin, penuh perhitungan & berprasangka buruk terus walaupun posesif & perhatian jg.Jika endingnya Rio begging2 spy bisa balik ama Evie pasti saya kasih lima bintang. Tp krn Evie terlalu cepat memberi maaf, 4 bintang saja.
review 2: So I was quite surprised by this story - I didn't really think much of the cover or the blurb - but I ended up really loving it. Sure the set up at the beginning is completely implausible, especially given that Evie really didn't trust her sleazy boss who set her up in the first place, but it's just such a goodnatured story that I really enjoyed reading it and sped through it quite quickly. Evie and Rio were both fun characters to read about and I loved their arguments - it showed real chemistry between them. I did think the dancing on the table episode was a little over the top, but the rest of the story fairly fled by. The last scenes of the book as well were just so adorably sweet - I actually re-read those once I'd finished. A fabulous, enjoyable read, just in time for the Christmas season. 5 stars. less
