review 1: Reading this reminded me of how much I like short stories. There were some wonderful reads here, some reminded me of twilight zone, Perry Mason and the like. Some were just a bit flat. it's hard to rate a compilation. Some stories were 5 stars some merely 1's. Worth a read if you are into the genre. I loved the introduction and the intros to each tale. Fascinating hearing about each writers life and their works, great source of reading material!
review 2: I received this book free from a GoodReads First Reads giveaway. An enjoyable read, perfect for a reader who is short on time and doesn't want to start a lengthy book. This book is composed of 14 short suspense stories. Before each story there is a small biography on the corresponding author. Of course
... more some stories I enjoyed more than others. My personal favorite was Louisa, Please Come Home by Shirley Jackson. The most twisted story in the collection in my opinion was Lost Generation by Dorothy Salisbury Davis. less
