review 1: This was a really short read for me, but really entertaining. I recently read another book from Entangled with the geeky premise called "Talking Dirty With The CEO" and I found it to be funny so I gave this one a shot. This one took geek speak to a whole different level. I'll admit it lost me at certain points when I didn't know who these characters they were talking about were, but not so much that I didn't get the joke. I'm not into Star Wars, I'm not a Trekkie, I don't play RPG's, and I've never set foot in a comic-con, but I still laughed my ass off. The author walked the fine line of making fun of all these things, but in a self-deprecating way so it doesn't come off as offensive to those who enjoy those sorts of things. I'd recommend the book for people that want som... moreething light and entertaining. Not everything is plausible but it wasn't supposed to be. It's a nice break from reality and for me a nice break in between the more serious angst filled books that I get sucked in to.
review 2: What a great read! Don't let the cover and the title fool you. This book is NOT just for geeky gamers! The characters and the story will appeal to everyone in all walks of life. Pen is a feisty character that I'm sure everyone can relate to in some way. What girl hasn't had her heart broken and sworn off men, right? I know I have. I loved her. Cal is...steamy. And the fact that he's a spy really doesn't hurt his persona at all. Do yourself a favour, and pick up this book. It's well worth your time. And who knows? You may find yourself looking into a "gaming" personality of your own! less
