review 1: I liked the book but it was too short. Adam and Chad went take to the road for a vacation. Chad is unaware that they are staying at a BDSM resort owned by Adam's friends. Also, some attacks and a death has occurred. The local police chalk it up to accidents. Adam wants Chad to unofficially check it out and report his findings to the local police. That part didn't bother me. I think any cop would want to investigate and stop anyone from getting hurt regardless if it was in their jurisdiction.Chads worlds collide when he is has to ask questions of resort's owners while wearing kneeling and wearing nothing more than collar and a thong. Adam has no patience wit his attitude and doesn't understand why this should be problem. I didn't like how Adam dismissed Chad's prof... moreessionalism. I don't think wold like teaching while dressed in the same manner. review 2: It was ok. The criminal was exactly who I suspected it to be. West isn't suited to be a mystery/thriller-murder writer because her shit is too transparent. The romance and relationship side of it wasn't that bad. I don't think I grew to like Chad too much. His resistance made me hate him. Like damn. I understand his reluctance, but it was like 2 years worth of fighting his submission. He should be tired. I know there are realistic moments when he had to be forced but OMG. Chad. Just. UGH. less
