review 1: Odd. Glad it was a library book...The book slip sounded like a really interesting set up, but the author didn't spend long exploring the premise. We only had about 3 days of Elizabeth dealing with the idea of being a ghost and the fact that no one on this planet was aloud to talk to or respond to hear. After that we launch into insta-love and weird adventures without ever getting a satisfying explanation for what is going on...
review 2: The first 1/3 was fantastic. The ideas were so new and fascinating and the writing was so good I seriously considered calling in sick to work to finish reading it… It didn’t end as well as it started, though (ended up rating it a 3, even though it started out a 5). The ending kind of degenerated into a run-of-the-mill sappy
... more romance with action sequences.Nonetheless, Fisher has something – I see amazing potential in her writing. less

Well deserved RITA nominee for best first book. Great sci fi. A thinking woman's romance.

Really loved this book. Reminded me of vintage Anne McCaffrey. Just excellent.
