review 1: Shayne has once again taken what I thought of relationships and turned it on its ear. You think at the beginning of this book that you can see where it is going to go and then Shayne does a complete 360 and sends it careening off into another direction that is just as amazing in its own right.I borrowed this book through Amazon Prime, but will be purchasing it to have for future reference and reading, it was that good. The scenes are so realistically written it felt like I was right there, the sex is nothing short of HOT!, I could feel the love pouring off the pages, and I cried right along with them.Amazing Shayne! I've read a few of your books, and the others will stay on my TBR list as I can't take that much emotion back to back, but I will eventually work my way thr... moreough the rest of your work!
review 2: Actual rating 4.5I absolutely loved this story. As a fan of country music it was great to see the 'inside' story, so to speak, of the rise of a country star.The author instantly drew me into the story with her descriptions, and the interactions between the characters were very well written.I love how each character, or as the case may be each set of characters, gets their own voice within this story. I felt I was able to get to know every character equally well, and loved them all.The author almost had me in tears at one point. For a book to do that to me means the storyline has totally drawn me in and I am immersed within it.Even for readers who don't like country music I would definitely recommend this book. The sex scenes alone, several ménage scenes as well as couple scenes, are very well written. less
