review 1: I love Sherryl Woods and the O'Briens series..but this one rubbed me the wrong way. I think it was the 1960s attitude that a pregnancy should automatically equal marriage, even if one of the parties wasn't particularly all for it. And the heroine's preoccupation with children in Africa to the detriment of her own pregnancy struck me as both unrealistic and rather annoying. I hope Dogwood Hill is a better entry in this series than this one was.
review 2: Ok, so of course this is the first book I read by this author and it just so happens to be number 11 in a series! I'm glad that it didn't confuse me at all though. I like books (series) about towns and each character in it.I wanted a Christmas novel to read because the season is upon us and found this one. I ... moream a sucker for love stories and this one was perfect for me. Neither of the main characters made me want to slap them with so much stupidity so it was lovely. Perfect Christmas-ish love story :-) less
