review 1: The past crashes into present day to bring former law officer and convict Logan Randal to the door of childhood friend Laney Jefferson. Young widow Laney is shocked to see the former foster boy collapsed on her door stoop, hands in cuffs and clad in an orange jumpsuit, prison garb. Thirteen years had passed since he had help her escape her horrendous life. Now he needed help. The author has her characters embark on a wild ride with this one.
review 2: This is a good book with an intriguing story line. I'm a little disappointed by the ending, I would've like to have known how everything turned out for Logan. Obviously things must have worked out okay because the epilogue has him and Laney getting married that weekend, but the story line doesn't cover if anything... more happened to Laney's mother or her half-brother. It just says he was arrested, nothing about her. But a good book nonetheless. less
