review 1: To be perfectly honest I did not enjoy this book. Whilst it may of had an interesting and unique plot, I thought it was to slow paced and took way to long to get started. Which is disappointing because I really wanted to enjoy this story. It seems to me that the author put a lot of thought into his character development which I must admit was quiet remarkable. However I think tis book could of done with a better start perhaps a one that grabbed the audience straight away.
review 2: The title of the book is rather strange, being the name of the main character, but don't be put off as this is a very well written book which I will recommend with its very entertaining story about a boy and his love of collecting elements. The setting of Cornwall is perfect and the... morere are definitely influences of Enid Blyton. Very well written and enjoyable. Boys from around 10-14 will particularly enjoy this book. less
