review 1: Laera McDougal hated camping, but went any way… alone, and getting lost in the woods only added to her poor decision. However stumbling upon Mr. Handsome made this horrendous moment in life seem miniscule. At least until they approach a clearing where a naked woman is tied to a tree, getting whipped. Are those moans of enjoyment? When her rescuer offers for a closer look and to watch did she begin to worry. Bruce Merrick was delighted to find a seasoned woman who never tasted the pleasures of Bondage Ranch. Still her denial to even take a sip of what the ranch offers does not deter him. If romancing Laera leads her towards trying some Dom/sub activity, he’s a patient man. After all what little she did during their first date, told him she was definitely willing. An en... moregaging contemporary story, though relatively light BDSM read. Undeniably due to the fact that Laera is a newbie to the Dom/sub life, but Bruce’s serene demeanor only softens this theme more. So no hard core BDSM activity here, instead a delightful simple romance with some light bondage and pleasurable pain. Laera and Bruce are likeable and thrilling to “watch’, as they create the foundation for an enjoyable read.
review 2: I really liked this book, for a couple of reasons.This is a story about bdsm sex, but not as much about the sex itself as the road that leads up to it. It's a sampling of a flavour other than vanilla.It's also a story that shows that bdsm doesn't have anything to do about abusive men and weak women, but rather about mutual respect and trust.I would say that this would be a good introduction for anyone interested in bdsm, but be aware that it might be a gateway towards heavier stuff. less
