review 1: This is a story about one badass mother fucker cop and one BAMF-looking college student. (he's an ass, but not so bad) However, the whole story has nothing to do with either lovey-dovey rose-colored campus life or endless gunfight. They spend a hell of A LOT of time having sex. (I think the author was going to do some BDSM scenes but somehow he held it back......) When they don't have sex, they fish crabs. This book is a bit confusing to me. At first I was expecting a tough guy who struggled with his brutal past and saved a not-so-tough guy from school bullying. There's none. When the not-so-tough guy shed all his cute baby fur and turned into a badass cop, I braced myself for the car chasing gunfighting cartel/narc bloodshed...well...there's none. So regardless of all tha... moret hot and hilarious sex scenes, I can only give it 3 stars.
review 2: BAMF, please don't tell me I'm the only one who had to look up this acronym?Bad Ass Mother Fucker, a perfect description for Alex.At the start with the descriptions of protective and tough Ridley and quiet and cute Alex you think you get a handle on the characters but once they get alone together you can just forget what you originally thought. Wow, Alex, don't mess with Alex. Looking back at my notes on my kindle I put 'quiet, cute bow tie man is a rough fuck bad ass top'. Alex is powerful, cool and calm and blends in to the role of library assistant believably. Ridley is easily flustered and tongue tied which is contrary to his tough exterior which is self made with tattoos, piercings and mohawk. He is putty in Alex's hands.Alex really made this book for me. He is a vivacious lover, demanding and punishing, leaving Ridley bruises and aches reminding him of their good time. In the middle of the book once they are forced to go away together we get to see another side to Alex, still bossy and in charge but relaxing and enjoying himself in Ridley's company.An MM love story with extremely exciting bedroom action, a sizzling alpha male and a touch of crime drama. Really enjoyed it. less
