review 1: Quite an enjoyable read if BDSM is your thing.Although I just found out by reading some reviews that this book is a follow up to some MCs from another book. That must be why I felt a little like I arrived late to the party. Tackett knows the owners of the sex club Folsom very well and it seems like Blake and Ty have quite a history that I'm missing. Oh well, guess I'll have to go back to read those other books. Are Bobby and Rig also part of a previous book?I really liked Micah but I had trouble understanding how he wanted to be a full time sub with no other ambitions or goals. The sex was super hot but not for the faint of heart. I'm curious about the cock-cage...I'll have to go look it up online.
review 2: My Review:This book...I went into it not knowing exactl
... morey what to expect, but had seen it listed for a while with some more hardcore BDSM books, so I kind of expected a bit more harshness to the story and treatment of the sub. But that isn't what this book is about. This book is about two men who wouldn't normally find a place together. But what they actually find is exactly what they need.Tackett is a hardcore Dom. He's older and has never taken a sub as his own, but after attending his friends collaring, he's beginning to wonder what he's missed and feels a little unsettled in his life. Micah is the total opposite of Tackett. He's young, flighty, and seems pretty shallow on the surface, but he's desperately hiding the true problems going on in his brain. Micah is ADD and ADHD and has a million thoughts going on in his head at once. It affects his ability to function a lot of the time. He sees a D/s relationship as a means to function. For him, this kind of relationship isn't a game...it's what he needs to function. But he hasn't been able to find a Dom who will take him on full-time. He takes a lot patience and understanding. He thinks that guy is Tackett. Tackett doesn't agree, but agrees to try a trial period. The true distress that Micah feels about his situation is so real in this book. My heart hurt for him. He's doing everything he can to control the issue, but it's never enough and most people don't take him seriously. I hated how flighty it made him seem when he just wants to get better. And Tackett...God love him...he doesn't think that he and Micah are a good match, but he's a good guy. He refuses to just abandon Micah after he realizes what they are truly dealing with. I loved how devoted he was to learning what he needed to do to help Micah. This book is a great introduction into the Guards of Folsom series, the club, and the set-up of the friends. It's not quite as hardcore as I expected, but it was interesting. It honestly felt a bit more true just because Tackett and Micah let the D/s slip quite a bit in preference for just developing their relationship and I did like that. less

This was good. The end was a little rushed. I wish there was more but i still liked it.
Jembling
Meh. Neither the plot nor the characters are original or done particularly well.
