review 1: **3.5 Stars**Alluring Turmoil was a good second chance romance novel. Jude and Lexi had grown up together and were each other's first and only true love. Due to a misunderstanding, they have just lost eight years with each other but when Jude walks back into Lexi's life, sparks fly. Jude is now the lead singer for the band Bayou Stix and Lexi is the owner of a bakery, Java and Sweeties. Immediately upon seeing each other, the sexual chemistry is off the chains HOT!! I loved the strong connection between these two, the love and the intensity of their relationship. As much as they both had tried to move on through the years and distract themselves with other things, they only truly wanted each other and the bond has definitely not been broken.Overall, I enjoyed the story and... more it kept me intrigued, waiting to see how everything would play out. I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of couples who don't communicate and secrets and lies really bother me. When Lexi and Jude are reunited, she decides not to ruin what they have now and doesn't want to discuss what kept them apart for so long. The misunderstanding is not really cleared up until the end of the book and then the story just ends, making me want more. So glad I have book 2! Hope to see Jude and Lexi make an appearance in Jessie and Blue's story!
review 2: Jude is pretty much the perfect book boyfriend. Lexi is not the perfect girlfriend - she, in fact, made me want to smack her a few times. However, despite that desire, I did really enjoy this story. : ) This story is about Jude & Lexi reconnecting, after being apart for 8 years due to a circumstance we don't learn the details of until nearly the end of the story. I love their journey and the way they are together! I also love the way supporting characters are written, setting up for future stories in the Bayou Stix universe, w/o taking away from the main storyline - that is very well done! The only real issue I had w/ the story is that so much heartache could have been avoided by Jude & Lexi - or even Jude & Erik - just COMMUNICATING. They did a pretty great job w/ it except w/ that one little thing, which turned out to be a pretty important and not so little thing! So, that was just annoying to me from a story perspective. But, I loved the pacing & the writing & am looking forward to reading the rest of the books in this series. : ) less
