The Guy
review 1: I just adored this book. Former Military Chopper pilot Aaron is home on a medical discharge, his former boyhood friend and crush of his Gregory. Gregory's brother Jesse and their uptight parents and a wedding anniversary and oh my!Will Aaron mend his friendship with Gregory after a boyhood kiss goes wrong? Jesse the younger brother of handsome Gregory who faithfully wrote Aaron after he ran away and joined the Army. And THAT is all you will get out of me other than I found myself smiling throughout this whole book. Good times and bad, I enjoyed every word that Skylar wrote and made myself a vow to read the rest of their catalog. Get a Root Beer or a nice cup of tea and settle yourself in front of a nice fire and just loose yourself in these characters. E... morenjoy!
review 2: This book was not what I expected from the blurb. But it has a decent rating, and I liked (did not love) the first book in the serious, so I gave it a try.And I mostly loved it. There was some angst but over all this was a smooth friends to lovers comfort read. There was a common romance trope at the end that I HATE, which brought this from a 5 to a 4: fortunately the issue was resolved swiftly. But I hated that Aaron even went there, Jesse deserved better. less

This volume was slightly better than the first, far fewer uses of "Anyhow."
