review 1: This is the kind of book that you pick up to read without having the need to stay late up at night nor do you need to crack your brain to think much about it. It's an easy breezy read which I finished in less than 3 days. The beginning part was OK but towards the end, I just flipped through without paying much attention to the words on the page. I guess that tells you something. I won't be reading another book by this author for sure.
review 2: Exactly what I was looking for. Assholes are so overrated, whatever happened to the sweet and considerate types? They're just as sexy and hot, minus the 'treating you like crap part'! How about a man that is strong and capable? Isn't afraid to back down and protect his woman? Don't have to be an asshole for that. This wa
... mores a very sweet and beautiful story. Bella Greenwood is a regular girl leading a regular life until she catches the eye of the Prince of Wales. Meeting under mysterious circumstances, she doesn't know who he is. But they have a very special moment and their future pretty much takes off from there.Being with a royal and then getting engaged has it's disadvantages, however. There's tons of protocol, expectations, traditions...all of it soon becoming too much for Bella. She undergoes big changes but will it all work out? Is there someone out there to get her? Apparently so--the culprit was a little predictable--, All of it adding to the ridiculous mishaps that happen to her. The end result is a sweet, uplifting and touching story about LOVE, sacrifice and the lengths we go to to protect the one we cherish. I loved Bella. She was a great character, I honestly could see her as one of my friends. The secondary cast was colorful and supportive. Richard, the Prince was divine. I loved this man! So sweet, the things he said to her...GAH! And this wasn't all fluff either. There were moments I almost teared up, felt really moved by the story. The author is British, so of course I had a riot reading and trying to understand all the lingo and cultural anecdotes. Loved the way they spoke. It was hard to put down and I'm so glad I read this. This is the second book about a 'commoner' marrying a royal( first being Suddenly Royal)and I loved them both. Great story, lovely characters and although there wasn't necessarily any steam, albeit references and the build up to sex but no explicit details, this was more about the romance and the love between Richard and Bella, loved it. less
