review 1: Aiming to get the local nuance of one of my journey destination by reading an autochtonous author, I´ve been surprised to read a book stressing the shaping of identity, but in another country. So you get to know about Serbia in a novel whose action happens in Italy and you get to accompany a hero that is constructing his serbian identity surrounded by so many other nationalities. The tone and the vocabulary are so natural that everything seems so real so you get to empathize with the characters and even smile at the language games.
review 2: Nice book about the Serbian mentality - how the main protagonist nonchalantly smokes and drinks off his scholarship without being really motivated to write. Despite a feeling of arogance, he becomes more and more popular a
... moremong other guests. Also he finds guests that he prefers. A good description of different characters (there benefits and faults) is a great thing about this book. I guess the message is - take it easy. less
