review 1: If you think about Natchez when you read “Tin God” by Stacy Green, you’re on the right page. The author has captured the essence of the town’s heritage and characters in this mystery/suspense novel. Jaymee Ballard is trapped in Roselea, Miss., while she tries to earn enough money to locate her adopted daughter. Throw in several murders and add a heartbroken, handsome reporter from Jackson, and you get an easy-to-read, yet disturbing tale of corruption, secrecy and death. The descriptions of Natchez-like home and Jackson sites make this novel especially entertaining.
review 2: Though we have a daughter named Karin, that is the Germanic form of Karen. In this hillbilly sort of novel, there is a heroine named Jaymee Ballard, and another character who is L
... moreorelai. That makes the second woman sound like a prostitute! This Jaymee is the illegitimate daughter of the man who impregnated her--if I am getting the geneaology correct. Jaymee is not sure if she wants to get her now eight year old back, or let her stay with the only parents she has known. There are a bunch of murders. I don't think that I would care to live in this Southern town. less
