Book Recommendations: Crime Thrillers!

Hey guys! I haven’t done a book recommendation post for a while, so I thought why not share with you all some of my favourite crime thrillers? I can’t get enough of them recently and would love to recommend some to you! So without further ado, lets get into it!

1) Follow Me Down by Sherri Smith

I bloody loved this book! As soon as I saw this I was like damn, I need this book in my life. That cover is beautiful and the white and red font is so striking together. The writing was amazing and I definitely want this author to write more books because she had me on the edge of my seat! This book was full of so many frightening twists, I predicted nothing. She literally got me feeling so many emotions! I was angry at other characters, sad for the main character and frustrated for the situation she was in. The ending blew me away. I never saw it coming! This book exceeded all of my expectations and blew them out of the water. READ IT!

2) If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio

This is actually coming out 13th June and as you may know from the banner I am taking part in a book tour to promote this fantastic book! My book review is coming 14th June and I am so, so, so excited to share my thoughts with you all! This book was crazily intense and I felt a whirlwind of emotions! I loved all of the characters and became so attached to them! The story was so intense, it literally left me with my mouth hanging open! I have gushed about this book so much already so I’m super pumped to post my review for you all! Would definitely recommend this!

3) Watching You by Arne Dahl

This book isn’t out until next month but I just had to include it on this list because it’s so intense! As soon as you start the book you are pulled right into the story. Some books you start them and literally nothing happens until about fifty or one hundred pages in but this book, oh boy, right from the very first page it’s so freaking intense! I got chills! The writing was superb and I was biting my nails with anticipation. It was just amazing and it’s being published next month! I’m so excited and I can’t believe I have never heard of this author before??? His writing is phenomenal!!!! You all should read this! I will be posting a review for it closer to the release date!

4) The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena

This was such an easy book to read I think I devoured most of it in one day and then finished it the next day. It was such an interesting story and I really liked the characters. Instead of following the detectives like most crime thrillers I’ve read, you followed the victims and got to see them unravel and fall apart. It was very interesting and the story had a lot of surprising twists. The author seemed very creative and she kept me guessing throughout which I liked. I will definitely be checking out her next crime thriller, A Stranger in the House, which is being published next month!

5) David Raker Missing Persons by Tim Weaver

Before you look at this and panic because it has seven books (and possibly more in the future because why not?), do not fear! These books are phenomenal! Tim Weaver is a really talented writer and every book is even better than the last! His writing is so intense and I was on the edge of my seat! I haven’t read all of them and I read them in the wrong order so I’m going to re-read them at some point but I had to include it anyway because even though I read them in the wrong order, THEY WERE AMAZING!!!!! Seriously this is one of my favourite series and they deserve more love and recognition. I saw someone reading Broken Heart on holiday and had to stop myself running up to her and asking her tons of questions and just gushing about my love for them. Everyone should read this series!

I am certain I will be doing a part two for this at some point because I have acquired so many other crime thrillers that just sound amazing. Have you read any books by Ruth Ware?? I purchased two of her books and the freaking synopsis gave me goosebumps. She sounds like a fantastic writer and I just want to shove her books in my face. If any of you have any crime thriller recommendations please let me know because I am all for buying new crime thriller books! I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you so much for reading!
