review 1: I just finished reading 4 GIGS OF TROUBLE by Stella Baker. Protagonist Toni Teitelbaum is a former US Marine MP turned high school teacher. She turns up a dying body on a class trip to DC - from CA, now that's dangerous LOL. The victim manages a few words before dying and Toni sets out to solve a murder that seems the various alphabet agencies, politicians, police and the Washington Post want to cover up. It is very fast paced and I only put it down last night because I fell asleep and I picked it up this evening and consumed enough caffeine to finish. If you are a fan of V I Warshawski then I think you will enjoy Toni Teitelbaum. I am hoping Stella Baker makes this a series. I would like to point out this was self published on Amazon, very professional, and if there was a... more mistake in formatting or editing, I didn't see it. I have found a whole world full of wonderful authors thanks to Amazon and the KDP and Create Space programs. Stella Baker has another book on there and while not Toni Teitelbaum, I think I'll try it.
review 2: Ex Army MP and now a teacher is in DC with a class of 6th graders when while chasing one boy who took a run for some bushes off the route to the Lincoln Memorial, discovers a body. The man is not quite dead and she calls for her fellow teacher to call 911 while she tries to make him comfortable. He whispers a few words to her before giving up the ghost. Later at their hotel she discovers the door to their bus as open even though the driver is sure he locked it and the finds the their room altough locked was searched. Later she discovers a 4gig flash drive in the pocket of the jacket with which she had covered the dying man. Now it becomes race to discover what was on the fladh drive and stay ahead of the people who were trying to recover it and contain the information it held. Another good free Kindle read. less

The ending diminished a book that was essentially candy for the brain. Not recommended.
