review 1: 2.5-3 stars.I liked the overall story, but I felt some things were touched too superficially. I mean, Megan just got out of an abusive relationship, but that was not developed enough. I'm not saying we needed all the gritty details, but it felt like her abuse was just there, something that happened and now she moved on after a month. I felt she had a LONG road ahead of her to heal, but then she gets together with David and then tells him she loves him? It was too much, too fast.I wanted to see more character development coming from her. review 2: I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. This is a wonderful debut book by Stella Hunter. You can't help being sucked into David and Megan's story.I think that everyone will be able to relat... moree to David because we all have that one crush that broke our heart when we were younger.David has not seen Megan since they were younger and she crushed him, so it was a big surprise to see her at his sisters house and in trouble. Megan has had a hard life due to her abusive husband and she needs help getting her life back on track and David is just the guy to help her. David is no longer the kid that Megan knew when they were younger.David is all grown up and doing good for himself as a personal trainer and self defense coach. As he is helping Megan he realizes that he never truly got over her. Can she see David as something more than a friend? Will her abuse EX show up and ruin everything? You will just have to one-click this when it comes out on June 13th to find your answers! The Strong One shows us how sometimes we are stronger than we think and sometimes we just need a little help putting the pieces back together. I rate The Strong One with 4 out of 5 stars. Happy ReadingXOXO R less
