review 1: Where Demons Fear to TreadBy Stephanie ChongAngels vs. Demons and the humans are given free choice. In Ms. Chong’s story, she weaves a new interest into the old tales of heaven and hell. When an angel makes a deal to save the soul of her mission, she doesn’t realize how love can save the day.I really enjoyed this look at the underbelly of greed and corruption. Of course, it takes place in Vegas. Yet the message is very clear about the road to salvation and our own personal demons. I am looking forward to the next book because Ms. Chong leaves some threads hanging…hints if you will about what might happen next.
review 2: This was a simple story about choices and what comes from making the wrong ones. The hero is supposed to embody evil and temptation and a... morelthough he's happy to indulge he's not happy with his life or his job of damned souls. The heroine is suppose to embody good and light but she has a checkered past and she's no virgin. I liked that the two sides weren't black and white and that each of us has a little of each inside. less
